I found my Educational Law and Policy class to be the most interesting of my classes at MSUM. This is probably
because I knew so little about actual cases in actual law jargon. How the cases were litigated and presented to a judge, was absolutely fascinating. When I was doing my practicum work at DaVinci Academy, the subject came up about special education. The team talked about special education rooms and making sure they followed educational law; this door can have a lock, and this door cannot. I also thought about when an administrator would ask me to "witness" a backpack search or a locker search. When I someday become an administrator for good, I will revisit my law book. |
